Being a parent has many perks and wonderful moments, but it can also make you more anxious. If you are a parent yourself, you probably know what I am talking about here. If you are planning to visit a dentist with your toddler soon, you might want to cancel it, or at least make sure that he is not put under anesthesia for the simplest of procedures. Doctors and dentists these days like to come up with many reasons to put children under anesthesia, but there is a lot of evidence that doing so can put your children under the risk of brain injury and developmental problems. It is therefore recommended that if you visit your toddler dentist to avoid any form of anesthesia altogether as toddlers simply respond worse to it. Anesthesia might be fine for adults, but it wasn’t that fine for a Texas-based Daisy Lynn Torres who died while having her cavity filled.

As you can see, there are many safety issues regarding your babies, toddlers and children. Making yourself familiar with some of the most common issues that can compromise the safety of your children can be already a step in the right direction.
